Projects & Domains
A look at the projects we've supported, organized by domain. Most are long-running services where we've participated from 0→1 through ongoing improvements.
-
Parking search & reservation service
Built a parking search and reservation service from launch through ongoing operations.
From launch- What we built
- A service for searching and reserving parking availability. TANOSYS built and operated the product from launch, covering the consumer iOS / Android apps, the consumer and operator-facing web, the APIs, and the infrastructure. In the 0→1 phase we iterated on the operator admin flow alongside real operations.
- Phases
- Requirements, UX design, iOS / Android implementation, web frontend, Backend implementation, infrastructure, ongoing improvements.

Child-safety app
Joined the iOS / Android apps of a child-safety service as an extra hand — feature work, stability, and filling in missing developer documentation.
Joined existing- What we built
- TANOSYS joined the live iOS / Android apps of a child-safety service as a development resource, handling feature additions, improvements, and stabilization. Because documentation was thin at the point of handoff, we also produced developer documentation that captured the design and implementation understanding we built up.
- Phases
- Learning the existing codebase and design, developer documentation, iOS / Android implementation, ongoing improvements.

Kid-friendly messenger app
Joined a live messenger app for children and took on broad feature work across the surface typical of a full-featured messenger.
Joined existing- What we built
- Ownership of feature work on a messenger app for children. We touched the broad surface that messenger apps generally offer — one-to-one chat, stickers, conversation history, push notifications, groups, voice / video calling. Because the user base is children, pre-release verification demanded wide coverage and careful attention.

Cross-border e-commerce — Japan-market backend
Built a new backend layer to add Japan-market features to an overseas e-commerce service.
From launch- What we built
- A from-scratch backend project: APIs and batch pipelines. Because the service had to handle high traffic without going down, scalability and high availability were key design drivers from the start.
- Phases
- Requirements, Backend implementation, third-party API integration, high-availability infrastructure, ongoing improvements.

ecbo cloak
Built the web version of the luggage-storage service ecbo cloak from launch — shaping the spec together with an early-stage startup team.
From launch- What we built
- ecbo cloak (https://cloak.ecbo.io/) — a luggage-storage service by ecbo Inc. that uses spare space in neighborhood shops. TANOSYS built the web product from launch, working through the spec from zero because the team didn't have engineers in-house at the time. Booking, payments, and store operations came together as the web experience. A mobile app followed later under a separate team, which has carried the product forward.
- Phases
- Requirements, spec development alongside the client, feature design, web frontend, Backend implementation, payment integration.

AI shopping agent PoC
Prototyped a shopping-support AI agent with a RAG pipeline.
PoC / validation- What we built
- An agent that infers shopping intent and suggests / compares products, grounded in external product data via RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
- Phases
- Hypothesis framing, scoping, Backend implementation (LLM integration and RAG pipeline), validation UI.

Partner engagements
Various engagements supporting other development companies — filling resource gaps or adding specialist capacity.
Partner engagement- What we built
- Implementation support tailored to each partner's project — typically taking ownership of specific mobile or backend phases.
- Phases
- Joining each team's workflow, owning specific phases (mobile or backend), and supporting reviews.

PiVid
A pet-focused short-video sharing app — built and operated in-house, from concept through iOS app, backend, and admin console.
In-house product- What we built
- PiVid was an in-house service letting pet owners record, post, and browse short videos. Launched at a time when short-form video posting wasn't yet common on major social platforms, the product was designed around pet-specific viewing patterns (music, filters, tags). TANOSYS built the iOS app (Objective-C), the backend, and the admin console end-to-end, and operated the service. It has since been discontinued.
- Phases
- Concept, feature design, iOS (Objective-C) implementation, Backend implementation, admin console, operations and ongoing improvements.
